Wodin, Inc. has upset forged bar and tube in alloy, stainless, and nickel steels since 1967. Originally a manufacturer of industrial valve stems, we have expanded our forging capabilities to include a wide array of quality near net shape forgings, in solid bar, tube and hollow bar, carbon, alloy, stainless, nickel, inconel, brass, and bronze materials. We can supply blank forgings, machined forgings, and specialty forged bolts. We currently forged drill tubes, gear blanks, torsion bars, valve stems, aircraft forgings, rod ends, specialty bolts, fasteners and pins. Wodin is currently looking to add to our team of experienced Quality Assurance Inspectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Accuracy & Detail Minded
• Willing to work Overtime
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Adheres to established company policies and procedures such as safety regulations.
• Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety and training guidelines.
• Willing to perform other related duties as assigned.
• Approve the 1st Article of all parts in every department prior to production run.
• Perform Final inspection reports prior to shipping.
• Review all production paperwork for accuracy

Required Skills

• Must be able to follow Inspection Plans for over 200 different part specs.
• First Article, In Process, and Final Inspections on multiple parts
• Accurately complete required QA Paperwork for each individual part.
• Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills, You will be called upon daily to help fellow employees complete tasks, you must be willing to contribute to a TEAM atmosphere.
• Flexibility and adaptable to a changing work environment and work assignments.
• Ability to read Blueprints and Part Spec data sheets.
• Working knowledge of basic math, and the ability to use measuring tools

• Hardness Tester
• Ruler
• Tape Measure
• Optical Comparitor
• Read and Comprehend Mechanical Drawings.
• Incoming Raw Material Inspection requiring lifting and unloading of steel bundles.
• Assist in other departments when required
• Experience in operational non-conformances. (A plus but not required)
• Initiates and drives continuous improvement efforts.
